Students will use whatever parts needed to complete their assembly so the class can more on. Please don't try and turn in these files as your own because they have been embedded with a code. Please utilize to put together your assembly and customize it as shown in class.
The final assembly should consist of the train sitting on a complete track. When finished please upload them to your weebly portfolio.
We will be using Autodesk Inventor to turn sketches in to CAD (Computer Aided Drafting). The program is available here: https://www.autodesk.com/education/free-software/inventor-professional . Must register for an account but FREE to students.
The activity show students how to use the 2D tool then we will venture into 3D tools.
There are plenty of video on youtube that demonstrate how to use the tools in case a student misses class.
Dear Families and Students,
Our students have started a WBL unit, in which we will explore careers, especially focused on Construction Management, Civil Engineering and Architecture. I explore this through a a reverse engineering spective.
Students will complete a Career Cluster Interest Survey that can be found on Virtual Job Shadowing website. They will also shop for a house on realtor.com so we can figure out if the perspective career will support the lifestyle they want.
They will come to you with questions about utilities bills and other housing costs so we can paint a picture of what their future may look like. They will look at purchasing a house, a car and hopefully they will have a much better appreciation of what we do for them.
